Technical Information
Private IP is a carrier grade Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network (IP VPN). This doesn't mean it uses the Internet; rather it's delivered through TelstraClear's secure core IP network. It provides secure, private, high-speed wide area network (WAN) and/or metropolitan area network (MAN) connectivity between two or more customer premises. Private IP has two classes of service; "data" only for customers who only want to transport data traffic, and "dynamic" for customers using Voice over IP and Video Conferencing.

TelstraClear provides DSL full speed*, 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps connections for Private IP access. All services can be terminated on a standard Ethernet interface, meaning no special equipment is needed.
